Kirk was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He attended college at the University of Virginia. After college, Kirk joined South America Mission to serve as missionary in rural Bolivia. During that time, Kirk married Amanda. After 2 years, Kirk and Amanda returned to Houston to live in the Third Ward. For further training in ministry, Kirk attended Wheaton College where he received a Master’s of Educational Ministries. In 2005, Kirk and Amanda returned to the Third Ward and launched Agape Development Ministries.
Amanda Craig graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Christian Education. During a summer internship, she had the opportunity to live in the Third Ward and participate in a community church that touched her heart and shaped her vision for the future. She received her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Houston. She and her husband, Kirk, spent two years as missionaries in South America before returning to the states and beginning the work of Agape Development Ministries. Kirk and Amanda have four children.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Carl was born in Houston, Texas but raised in a small country town, Navasota, Texas. He moved back to Houston in March of 2010 and served with Agape Development in the Gateway program. The community that Agape Development serve is home to many of his relatives. Therefore, he’s passionate about serving the Lord and seeing the gospel of Christ transform the community. He married Krystal Winn in April 2011 and they now have 3 beautiful children, Jensen, Fidele, and Ellis.
Sosina graduated from the University of Texas San Antonio with a BA in Sociology. UTSA is where Sosina met her husband, Lee. After college, Sosina worked for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. She enjoys discipleship and cross cultural communications. After 8 years of campus mission, Sosina transitioned to embracing the whole city of Houston as a mission field. Sosina began working for Agape in April of 2016.
ZACH MASSEY DIRECTOR OF SMALL BUSINESS
Zach first began working in Christian community development in 2006 in the neighborhood of La
Villita on the west side of Chicago. After completing his bachelors at Emporia State University in Kansas,
Zach moved to La Villita with his wife Sarah and began serving as the Administrative Pastor at La Villita
Community Church. Over the next six years he helped develop a variety of community programs,
assisted with pastoring the congregation, and oversaw all church operations. He also spent three years
as the Director of Operations for Beyond the Ball, a small non-profit practicing sports based youth and
community development in Chicago’s Little Village and North Lawndale communities. In 2012 the
Massey family moved to the Kinloch Price Boys Ranch north of Wichita, KS where Zach and Sarah served
as house parents for Youth Horizons. Zach completed his MBA from North Park University in 2014. He
came on staff with Agape in May of 2015. He and Sarah live near Agape with their four children: Jubilee,
Justus, Shiloh, & Simeon. Zach oversees the development of small business for Agape and is involved in
their efforts with affordable housing, business development, and employment for community residents.
Born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia and ventured off to Oklahoma graduating from Oral Roberts University in 2004. Once out of college her degree in Organizational/Interpersonal Communications with a minor in Human Resources was put to use as an Executive Assistant to various leaders at both Regent University, Texas A&M University and Tom Ford Beauty. As a Navy wife and stay at home mom she desired to find a way to continue her professional venture in the Executive Assistant role and still serve her family well. The incredible opportunity to work and serve Agape Development began in September 2015.
Amanda attended the University of Houston and graduated with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Certification in nonprofit Management. In 2011, Amanda needed to accomplish an internship for her last semester of university. She found Agape! Upon graduating, Amanda chose to stay with Agape and became full time staff in July of 2012. She is passionate about working with children and families.
