On Wednesday, July 14, Agape staff and volunteers brought a group of 14 children from our community to downtown’s Discovery Green Park.
The children and the volunteers had a great time playing together on the playgrounds and in the fields while beating the heat, cooling off and running in the fountains. The children took a short lunch break in the middle of the day to enjoy sandwiches, apples, and juice.
The children learned about God’s love for them through taking moments to appreciate all the beautiful surroundings He created for them to enjoy. When the group arrived back at the Gateway House, the children recounted the various things they’d seen that day that they wanted to thank God for creating. Some of the things they mentioned were the breeze, water, the sunny sky, the grass, and their adult leaders.
