Cosby House Updates:
We had a great day on Saturday of installing 8 new windows in the house as well as scraping the vinyl tile off the bathroom floor and loading up the front sidewalk for big trash pick up this Tuesday.
We have 5 new windows to install this next Sat. We have a few projects that we will attempt on Tuesday June 21 @8:00am for those available:
1. Install a pull down attic stairway in the hall for attic access.
2. Cut and frame opening for 48″ interior french door between the living room and breakfast room.
3. Frame for new closet in bedroom converted from garage.
4. Install the 2 small windows into the openings ready for windows.( rain is forecast late in the week)
Saturday work projects: We will work Sat June 25 and take off July 2 – No work!
1. Finish installing the last 3 or 5 windows
2. Remove the tile floor in the kitchen and bath
3. Cut and Frame opening for washer/dryer room that will adjoin the back bath room.
4. Frame wall for back bath, and frame new door opening for back bath
5. Move door from breakfast room to bedroom over 6+/- inches for new door.
We have decided to install new HardiSiding on the house before the end of the project. We will be removing the vinyl siding before installing the Hardi. We are making great progress due to the outstanding work of the many volunteers who have participated.
