On Wednesday, June 2, 2010, Agape staff and volunteers packed lunches and went to spend a day having fun together and seeing the animals at the Houston Zoo. Nineteen children from the neighborhood got their permission forms signed and rode with Agape staff and volunteers to explore the grounds and learn about all the various species of wildlife housed in the exhibits. Thanks to the Houston Zoo for providing the passes and to all the volunteers and current Gateway House residents who came to chaperone.
Agape has planned various fun outings for each Wednesday morning through July and need volunteers to chaperone. Feel free to contact us if you’re free and interested in participating.
