As the spring warms Houston up, our attendance grows again. Several children who’ve never attended the program before came this week. As our rolls expand, our need for volunteers will grow with it. The children we minister to need interactions with competent, caring adults; some just to see what one looks like. We’re excited to spread the love God has given to us. We remember that Jesus said, “As I have loved you, love one another.” We remember that John wrote that we love because He first loved us. We want to give all the love we have to our group of at-risk children so that they’ll grow into loving, servant-hearted adults.
One of our Mission Year volunteers, Ms. Amanda Reynolds, is continuing a science club she’s developed. She’s using scientific experiments and principles to teach the children spiritual lessons and ignite their imaginations by showing them amazing things about the world around us. The children are enjoying her experiments, and we’re very thankful for her willingness to share.
Thanks again to everyone who’s donated supplies, snacks, and Bibles. Your generosity underwrites each program session. We continue to need healthy snacks and volunteer support!
