Wednesday, June 23, Agape Development Ministries’ staff and volunteers brought a group of children from the Agape neighborhood to Houston’s downtown Discovery Green Park.
18 Children got their permission slips signed and went to the park to play in the fountains, the giant mist tower, the playground, and the green fields from the morning to the early afternoon. The children, staff, and volunteers played in the water and on the slides until lunch time, when they sat down and enjoyed sandwiches and apples they had packed. The children focused on the importance of obedience to God and to the authority figures God places in our lives.
Agape has organized summer outings each Wednesday through July, and needs chaperones and drivers for each one. If you’re available and interested in participating, let us know!
