Saint John of the Divine Episcopal Church has established a long-term partnership with Agape Development Ministries and has sent many volunteers to serve over the years since Agape began operations.
April 10-11 members of SJD came over to the Gateway House and served along side its residents as they refurbished the house. The residents and volunteers worked side by side to replace the curtains, make several needed repairs, hang pictures, and redecorate the duplexes.
Agape’s vision includes facilitating more and more opportunities for young people from the third ward to partner with those from all over Houston to better the community and to make connections and build relationships amongst those from differing backgrounds and ethnicities.
