As the summer draws to a close, Agape wrapped up Backyard Bible Club with some fun crafts and Bible stories. The first craft was a chance for kids to design and decorate personalized drinking cups. Thanks to the generous donation of cups by Nathan and Adrian Franka. The kids enjoyed putting their names on the cups and adding stickers, drawings, and COLOR! We talked about water, and Kirk recounted the water with which John baptized in the Jordan River. Jesus who was also baptized, promised to wash us, not just with water on the outside, but with his Holy Spirit on the inside. On our last day, the kids made their own visors with colorful stickers and letters spelling their names. Thank you to everyone who helped make the crafts, snacks, and games possible this summer. We will continue with Backyard Bible Club after school starts for the 2010-2011 year. We will still need volunteers, crafts, and snacks, so contact us if you want to help.
