“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds that you plant.”

Waiting is the hardest part of gardening. But it is the most rewarding part. We started this community garden hoping that we could a) grow vegetables b) get people from the neighborhood to build community. Both these things take time, energy and patience. It also needs a lot of hands-on help.

We have got some neighborhood residents that have been coming to the garden weekly. We met Miss June at the local gym at McGregor Park and invited her to the garden. She has been coming to the garden since then. She lives in one of the neighborhood retirement homes. She says that the garden has been such a blessing in her life. Her presence and her commitment is so life giving.

If you are looking for a place to be committed to, we would like to welcome you to come out and build relationships with the people here. We are at the garden Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am-12pm. Thanks to all the volunteers who have already committed to the garden.
